About the Electric School Bus Network

The Electric School Bus Network is CALSTART’s leading national zero-emission school bus platform, where we connect districts leaders and industry experts with our Electric School Bus Forum meetings and monthly newsletter. Through the network, we give updates on state and federal funding opportunities, address challenges impacting the industry, and provide accessible resources to support the transition to electric school buses.

Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP)
Launched by the California Air Resources Board and administered by CALSTART, the Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) provides point-of-sale discounts on the purchase of zero-emissions medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. HVIP is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Invest, formerly known as Cap-and-Trade, dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in disadvantaged communities. HVIP bridges the cost gap between zero-emission and traditional diesel vehicles to accelerate adoption, reduce greenhouse gases, lower business operating costs, and help California meet its climate goals.
