CALSTART is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to better understand the availability and cost of maintenance services for Lion Electric and Lightning eMotors zero-emission school buses currently operating in California school districts. 

With both manufacturers no longer active in the U.S. market, many school districts are facing uncertainty around how to maintain these vehicles. CALSTART is seeking input from organizations with relevant experience to better understand current service options, maintenance costs, technician training needs, diagnostic tools, and potential program models to keep these buses safely and reliably in operation.
